"Our firm provides turn key pavement maintenance services to National
Clients from Bangor Maine to Key West Florida. When our seal coating crews
are on the road for two weeks at a time, I can't afford to have equipment
down time or equipment that can't properly atomize more viscous sealer with
higher sand loadings. Realizing the future in asphalt emulsions, the more
viscous nature of these coatings and the higher sand loading that will be
required to help them perform well on high traffic surfaces, we decided last
year to update our equipment fleet with three Neal units for 2007. So far
the equipment has exceeded our expectations for performance. Our seal
coating crews have recently been applying a specialized coal tar pavement
sealer which is ready for traffic 1 hour after application. This pavement
sealer has 60% solids, a high polymer loading and 6 lbs of silica sand per
gallon. Our ESSP 1000 Gallon truck system can apply this material with two
hand wands spraying simultaneously, delivering a consistent fan of material
while applying a consistent mil thickness of material. Our diaphragm pump
systems could barely spray an even fan of material with one wand operating
due to the viscous nature of this specialized coating. It's the "business
end" of the machine (Hydraulic Piston Pump), which allows my crews to
perform the highest quality workmanship at a impressive production rate
which translates into a high net profit per hour for each crew."
